Aha integration for databases, warehouses and BI tools

Product roadmapping and release planning. Datrise captures Aha entities such as features, releases, initiatives, ideas, goals and epics, then lands normalized and typed models for warehouse reporting, attribution, and AI workflows.

The Aha! REST API v1 authenticates with OAuth 2.0, API key, incremental runs key on updated_since, and Aha caps calls at 300 requests per minute and 20 requests per second per account.

Of the 6 objects, 6 sync as upserts keyed on the primary key and 0 as append-only streams, so each incremental run moves only what changed since the last watermark. Every object lands in its own table (for example `aha_features`) with a schema derived from the Aha API rather than a flattened CSV, in any of the 43 supported destinations.

What Aha data Datrise extracts

Each object lands in its own typed table. Sync mode is derived from the object: history-style objects append, everything else upserts.

APIAha! REST API v1
AuthenticationOAuth 2.0, API key — OAuth2 bearer token (preferred, via a registered external application) or a per-user API key generated in the Aha! UI; both are sent as `Authorization: Bearer <token>`.
Paginationpage — List endpoints take `page` (1-indexed) and `per_page` (default 30, max 200) and return `pagination` metadata with total records/pages.
Rate limit300 requests per minute and 20 requests per second per account
Incremental cursorupdated_since — `updated_since` (UTC, ISO 8601) is documented per resource (e.g. the Features list endpoint) rather than as one account-wide changed-records feed.
WebhooksNo
Bulk exportNo
Deletes detectableYes — `GET /api/v1/deletions` lists the contents of the recycle bin (deleted workspaces, teams, and records), which are recoverable and retained for only 30 days after deletion

What bites when replicating Aha

  • `per_page` defaults to 30 and caps at 200, so a connector that doesn't explicitly set it makes far more requests than necessary once record counts grow past a small backlog.
  • Rate limiting applies two simultaneous ceilings, 300 requests per minute and 20 requests per second per account, so short bursts can trip the tighter per-second limit well before the per-minute budget is used up.
  • Deleted records are recoverable via `GET /api/v1/deletions` (the recycle bin) but only for 30 days after deletion, so a connector polling less often than that permanently misses which records were removed.
  • The documented `Webhooks` API resource is for Aha! receiving inbound events from connected tools like Jira and GitHub, not for Aha! pushing its own record changes to an external URL, so outbound change notification is not available.

Aha connector FAQ

What Aha data does the connector extract?
6 objects: features, releases, initiatives, ideas, goals and epics. Each lands in its own table with types preserved; history-style objects (0) load as append-only streams.
Is the Aha integration incremental?
Yes. After the initial full load, every run reads only records changed since the last watermark (updated-at or event timestamp) and applies an upsert or an append depending on the object.
Where can I load Aha data?
Into 43 destinations: relational databases, cloud warehouses, data lakes, spreadsheets and BI tools. Each Aha → destination pair has its own page with the object-to-table mapping.
