Auth0 connector
Auth0 integration for databases, warehouses and BI tools
Identity source for authentication and sign-in telemetry. Datrise captures Auth0 entities such as authentication logs, sign-ins, user identity changes, and security events, then lands normalized and typed models for warehouse reporting, attribution, and AI workflows.
The Auth0 Management API v2 (with the Logs / Log Streams sub-APIs) authenticates with OAuth 2.0, incremental runs key on log_id (checkpoint pagination on the Logs API), and Auth0 caps calls at Management API requests are limited per tenant: 2 requests/second (burst up to 10) on Free/trial tenants, 15 requests/second (burst up to 50) on paid tenants; exact figures vary further by subscription tier and are exposed via response headers.
Of the 4 objects, 0 sync as upserts keyed on the primary key and 4 as append-only streams, so each incremental run moves only what changed since the last watermark. Every object lands in its own table (for example `auth0_authentication_logs`) with a schema derived from the Auth0 API rather than a flattened CSV, in any of the 43 supported destinations.

What Auth0 data Datrise extracts
Each object lands in its own typed table. Sync mode is derived from the object: history-style objects append, everything else upserts.
| Object | Landing table | Sync mode |
|---|---|---|
| authentication logs | auth0_authentication_logs | Append-only, incremental by timestamp |
| sign-ins | auth0_sign_ins | Append-only, incremental by timestamp |
| user identity changes | auth0_user_identity_changes | Append-only, incremental by timestamp |
| security events | auth0_security_events | Append-only, incremental by timestamp |
Auth0 API: setup facts for the connector
Verified against the vendor documentation on 2026-09-02. Unknown values are left blank rather than guessed.
| API | Auth0 Management API v2 (with the Logs / Log Streams sub-APIs) |
|---|---|
| Authentication | OAuth 2.0 — A Machine-to-Machine application authorized against the Auth0 Management API resource server obtains a scoped JWT access token via the OAuth 2.0 client-credentials grant, sent as an `Authorization: Bearer` header. |
| Pagination | page — Standard offset pagination (`page`/`per_page`, capped at 1,000 total results, max `per_page` 50 on Public Cloud / 100 on Private Cloud) works for most endpoints; large collections (Logs, Organizations, Role Users, Organization Members) instead use checkpoint pagination (`from`/`take`) to page past that cap. |
| Rate limit | Management API requests are limited per tenant: 2 requests/second (burst up to 10) on Free/trial tenants, 15 requests/second (burst up to 50) on paid tenants; exact figures vary further by subscription tier and are exposed via response headers. |
| Incremental cursor | log_id (checkpoint pagination on the Logs API) — The Logs API's `GET /api/v2/logs` endpoint supports checkpoint pagination via `from=<log_id>`/`take=<n>`, letting a connector page forward through the event stream without missing records as new ones are written concurrently. |
| Webhooks | Yes — Log Streams (real-time event streaming to a Custom Webhook, Datadog, Splunk, Amazon EventBridge, etc.) |
| Bulk export | Yes — User Export jobs (`POST /api/v2/jobs/users-exports`, async job producing a downloadable CSV/JSON file) |
| Deletes detectable | Yes — The Logs API records user- and object-deletion events, but only within the tenant's log retention window (1-30 days depending on subscription tier), so it cannot be relied on to detect deletes older than that window. |
What bites when replicating Auth0
- Standard `page`/`per_page` pagination stops working past roughly 1,000 total results; endpoints prone to growing large (Logs, Organizations, Role Users) must instead use checkpoint pagination (`from`/`take`), and the two pagination styles are not interchangeable on the same endpoint.
- Checkpoint pagination checkpoints are only valid for sequential forward paging and expire after 24 hours, so a connector that pauses mid-extraction for more than a day must restart the checkpoint walk from the beginning.
- Log retention is as short as 1 day on the Starter plan and only 30 days even on Enterprise, so a connector that polls the Logs API for incremental change detection (including deletes) less often than the plan's retention window will permanently miss events.
- Management API rate limits are enforced per tenant (not per token or per client), so multiple integrations or environments sharing one tenant divide the same 2 or 15 requests/second budget and can throttle each other.

Auth0 connector FAQ
- What Auth0 data does the connector extract?
- 4 objects: authentication logs, sign-ins, user identity changes and security events. Each lands in its own table with types preserved; history-style objects (4: authentication logs, sign-ins, user identity changes and security events) load as append-only streams.
- Is the Auth0 integration incremental?
- Yes. After the initial full load, every run reads only records changed since the last watermark (updated-at or event timestamp) and applies an upsert or an append depending on the object.
- Where can I load Auth0 data?
- Into 43 destinations: relational databases, cloud warehouses, data lakes, spreadsheets and BI tools. Each Auth0 → destination pair has its own page with the object-to-table mapping.
